Saadani Safari Lodge

Saadani Safari Lodge, exclusively set in the Heart of Saadani National Park, Tanzania. Saadani is unique for it’s extraordinary diversity of scenery and wildlife. Beach, Bush and river have been thrown together in such a colourful clash of ecosystems that there is nothing to compare with it anywhere on the Eastern Coast of Africa.

At Saadani Safari Lodge, the only lodge in the National Park, the Indian Ocean breaks almost to the foot of your bed directly onto African Bush and forces it way into the Wami River on the rising tide, just down the coast. Elephants have been known to cavort on the beach and just a stone’s throw from the open sea, Hippos wallow in the river estuary.

Nestled between the Indian Ocean and the Saadani bush in an old coconut plantation, the 8 tented bandas are elegantly perched on stilts individually spaced out along the pristine beach. All the uniquely styled beachfront bandas offer total privacy, are fully en suite and have large balconies overlooking the azure sea. Emphasis is on relaxation and appreciation of the natural environment with a variety of activities offered from the lodge.

Each banda makes use of natural products with driftwood and coconut fibres adorning the rooms and interior materials have been designed along specific Saadani themes.
