The Selous Game Reserve welcomes to the Largest Game Reserve of Africa. To the Land of the Black Rhinos. The Game Reserve is 45000 sq km in area and 5% of Tanzania ‘s total land area. The Size of Switzerland . The Great Ruaha river flows into the huge Rufiji River here and has a large area known as Stiegler’s Gorge.

The Game Reserve is unique as it provides a home for more than 50 % of Tanzania ‘s Elephants. The large area is teeming with Wildlife and Birdlife and has a variety of Flora too. The River is home to many Hippos and Crocodiles.

All the Lodges and Camping Sites are within the Reserve. The Reserve is inaccessible during the months of March, April and May. Other Months are fine for Safari. Game Drives, Boat Trips and Guided Walking Safaris can be organized. Accommodation is arranged at Mbuyu Safari Camp, Beho Beho Safari Camp, Mbuyuni Luxury Tented Camp, The Sable Mountain Lodge and the Rufiji River Camp. The Camping Ground is at Matambwe near to Beho Beho Bridge .

The journey by road is eight hours from Dar es Salaam/Morogoro to Selous.. Charter/Schedule flights from Dar, Arusha are also available, but travel by road to enjoy the beauty of Tanzania and Selous.
